Academy of Achievement online privacy policy

The Academy of Achievement is very proud to offer students, teachers, and parents a safe place to visit on the Internet. We have developed our privacy policy in accord with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) of 1998. This privacy policy outlines the steps we have taken to protect the privacy of all our Web site visitors and to address your concerns about the information you and your children give us.

General safety tips

Teachers and Parents: We recommend that you spend time with your student while they are online.

Features intended for young students

We are prohibited from conditioning a child’s participation in any activity on the child’s disclosing of more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in that activity.

Content contributors

We take out, delete, and do not post any personal information your student submits with his or her e-mail, including e-mail address. The Academy of Achievement does not release or sell personally identifiable information to any third party for any purpose whatsoever.


The security of your personally and non-personally identifiable information is very important to The Academy of Achievement. Although we make every effort to secure the transmission of any information you send from your computer to our ISP’s server or The Academy of Achievement’s e-mail server, we cannot guarantee the absolute safety of this information. Transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be secure. Any information you send to us is sent at your own risk.

The Academy of Achievement does not release or sell any personally identifiable information about visitors to any third party for any purpose whatsoever unless otherwise stated at the time of collection.

Donor privacy policy

The Academy protects the personal information of its donors. Without specific permission, the Academy does not (i) share or sell donors’ personal information with anyone outside the Academy or its agents (except as required by law), or (ii) send mailings to donors on behalf of other organizations.
