Cindy Sherman: I mean, as I said earlier, there’s a little bit of guilt in the pleasurable parts, but I guess I just feel more — I like the challenge of those kinds of difficult things and projects that maybe people don’t want to see, but I also have a soft spot for horror and horror movies and things like that. So, I kind of — It’s almost like, to me, it’s kind of funny and fun to be scared and to see these disgusting things when you know it’s fake. I mean, and that’s one of the other things I always kind of want to be sure that nothing ever looks so realistic that you really are believing any of it, even from the fake nudity that I’ve used in images. And that’s because I know that there’s enough reality out there that it is truly horrific, and I don’t want to — can’t compete with that. So, there is kind of, this kind of fun, I think, I actually have fun with the kind of disgusting aspects of it. And that’s why I also think that there’s a lot of humor in the work because a lot of that difficult stuff, I also don’t really take so seriously.
