I think the reason that I gravitate toward theater is because it’s communal, it’s collaborative, that it’s dynamic. It’s really dependent on the conversation between the artist and the audience, and I can’t think of any other medium that invites the audience to be a collaborator. I can’t think of any other medium that has the immediacy and the robustness of drama. I love that every time I go and see the play it’s different and that I can’t anticipate what it’s going to be based on the alchemy of the bodies that are in the audience.
